United Against Antisemitism

Jason Kenney committed himself to public life in the early 1990s as President of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, where he fought hard for lower taxes and fiscal responsibility.

In 1997, at the age of 29, Calgary voters elected him to Parliament where he worked to unite conservatives nationally. During his time in Parliament, Jason was voted the “best overall,” “hardest working,” and “most knowledgeable” MP by his colleagues in Maclean’s Magazine’s annual survey.

Mr. Kenney served as Minister for Multiculturalism for eight years in Prime Minister Harper’s government, reaching out to new Canadians as a strong advocate for pluralism. He became Canada’s longest serving Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, welcoming over 1.3 million newcomers to Canada while implementing comprehensive reforms to Canada’s immigration, refugee and citizenship programs, leading the National Post to call him “perhaps Canada’s best immigration minister ever.”

From 2013 to 2015 Mr. Kenney served as Minister of Employment and Social Development, where he implemented a “skills for jobs” strategy to increase support for skilled trades and apprenticeship learning. In 2015, he served as Minister of National Defence, deploying Canada’s military to combat ISIS in the Middle East, and to Ukraine to help modernize that country’s defences.

In 2017 Mr. Kenney was elected Leader of Alberta’s Progressive Conservative Party with a mandate to reunite the province’s divided free enterprise political movement. He then helped to lead the creation of the new United Conservative Party, and was elected its Leader, becoming Leader of the Opposition.

In April, 2019 he led his party to an election victory with 55% of the popular vote in a campaign focused on economic growth, and advocating a fair deal for Alberta in the Canadian federation. He was sworn-in as Alberta’s 18th Premier on April 30, 2019.

Michael Levitt is the President and CEO of Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, Canada’s leading human rights organization devoted to Holocaust education and fighting antisemitism and other forms of racism. A regular columnist in the Toronto Star, he is frequently interviewed in the media on issues pertaining to human rights, social inclusion, discrimination, and Jew-hatred. Michael currently sits on Canada’s delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. As a former two-term Member of Parliament, he served as Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and was a founding member of the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Online Antisemitism.

John Mann, Baron Mann is a former Labour Party Member of Parliament, now a British independent politician and Member of the House of Lords. As an MP, Mann served on the Treasury Select Committee and was Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Tessa Jowell and Richard Caborn. Mann is also a prominent campaigner against antisemitism. In 2019, he stood down as an MP before the general election and took up a full-time role as the UK Government's independent adviser on antisemitism in the United Kingdom, at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Farah Pindith is an author, foreign policy strategist, and former diplomat. A world-leading expert and pioneer in countering violent extremism (CVE), she is a frequent media commentator. She served as a political appointee under Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama and was the first-ever Special Representative to Muslim Communities, serving both Secretaries Clinton and Kerry. Currently she is an adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a senior advisor at the Anti-Defamation League. In 2020, the Muhammad Ali Center named Pandith the first-ever Muhammad Ali Global Peace Laureate for her proven track record of and commitment to promoting diversity, cohesion, and respect.
